I'd worship him.
This is Eclipse, the main antagonist from my Emalia series. He has two forms mainly, and alternates between them; he prefers his feline form, though. His full dragon form can be seen here. So Eclipse is actually the god of my second brainworld, DemiPluto. But the people of DemiPluto (HOLY CRAP MARS! <3) became too engulfed in warfare and worldly desires, and Eclipse was forgotten. Scared, he fled his own planet and sought shelter on a nearby world, Kuutamo (where Emalia is). Eclipse begged the Emalian gods if he could live on Kuutamo until he had the nerve to rebuild a new homeplanet for himself. They let him, and gave him a little continent on Kuutamo. They even gave him a little population of worshippers to keep him company. But Eclipse was a douche and became jealous of the Emalians. Humiliated by his own failure as a god, he turned his own new people into hideous beasts and unleashed them on Emalia. And thus the thousand-something year war between the Emalians and Eclipsians was held. This story is told in chapter 3 of Ribbontail: Enter Emalia. ...But Eclipse isn't a bad fellow, really... he's just really unconfident and miserable. Maybe even lonely. Awwrs. D: Comments
Ouch, I'd worship him too
=S I love the hair! And the tail is beautiful and elegant, odd, considering he's all evil and whatnot =B I like the way you have drawn his full form behind, because it makes a real contrast, how somthing can look so pewaceful in one form and all HOMGIMAEATCHU in another xD But i love it! -- An Enemy of an Enemy is our friend- Alien v.s Predetor [link] Hmm!
Now here's an epic picture from me old Ribbons. <3 Seriously, I rarely see some...epic picture form you. :c Maybe it's the um...white backgrounds. But it's really good. The shading and coloring on his blond/black hair is gorgeous. The fur shading is beautiful. Very soft, very natural. The only thing is that I suggest making it darker where his neck connects to his neck...that part has shadows. I also suggest making the shading slightly darker near the edges or so. Just slightly. Gives the overall picture more depth. The clothing detail is beautiful. I can't get over how clean all your coloring is. Yes, it really is beautiful. Hm...if you want some crit, I would love more depth on the beige part of clothing; the depth is clearly shown with the black and blue parts, but the beige appears to only have two or three shades for me. A darker brown would help (I'm a bit rusty on colored pencils and traditional art.)
mmm you make me want to get out my old chewed up Crayolas. Poor guy, he needs "Godlyhood for Dummies".
I really prefer his feline form, it gives him a more inoccent and dashing feel. As for any crits, I have one thing, not really just about Eclipse. One thing I've noticed is that a huge portion of your characters are either white or a really desaturated light color close to white. Although it is a magnificent color that is rarely seen on interesting characters, it can also be an eyesore to viewers, making the characters seem bland and simplified. I suggest some sort of spectrum thereapy, like creating another vividly colored charrie like Shadow Lougier (and yus I know it was based on someone else's design, but you get the point, right?). |
